Looked at a Gemini Catamaran in Daytona Beach

 We headed over to look at a 2011 Gemini Catamaran that was made by Hunter Marine, Alachua, FL. It had the swiveling centerboards and was a really nice and clean boat. The family was from Quebec and had just gotten back from the Bahamas. The asking price was $142,000. We thought that was a bit high plus it didn't have a windlass, no air conditioning, generator and a tiny watermaker. It would be a nice boat for up north, but no air conditioning is a deal breaker for FL. 

Near Disaster for Another Cruiser

Luckily, they were able to use their anchors and kedge off the bottom. The captain realized he was going into the wrong entrance and corrected himself and ended up hitting the bottom. Hours later, they were able to get into the marina and we helped them tie up to the dock. Needless to say, it was quite a harrowing experience for them.
