Looked at a Gemini Catamaran in Daytona Beach

We headed over to look at a 2011 Gemini Catamaran that was made by Hunter Marine, Alachua, FL. It had the swiveling centerboards and was a really nice and clean boat. The family was from Quebec and had just gotten back from the Bahamas. The asking price was $142,000. We thought that was a bit high plus it didn't have a windlass, no air conditioning, generator and a tiny watermaker. It would be a nice boat for up north, but no air conditioning is a deal breaker for FL.

Gemini Catamaran Shell at Hunter Marine

Published with Blogger-droid v2.0.1
I took this pic of the sister boat of 3Sum being made. Hunter Marine is now the manufacturer of the Gemini and not Performance Cruising. We saw the new version at the St. Pete Boat Show and I like what Hunter had done and added some nice features and simplified some of the electronics, but it looked like a Hunter. Don't know what that means, but it looked like a Hunter. It felt like it was a bit more solid than 3Sum. The grabrails didn't pull out like on 3Sum.
