I don't get this commercial for viagra where this guy is out sailing by himself. Do you think the ad firm that dreamed this ad up thought single handing meant something other than what sailors do?

Coast Guard Rescues Couple Missing off Fla. Coast With Disabled Engine - NBC News.com
It doesn't look like they were dismasted. Why couldn't they just start sailing towards the rising sun, or away from the setting sun? How can someone be adrift for that long? Lots of unaswered questions. Could it be that the skipper had some sort of health issues and the crew didn't know what to to? Lots of unaswered questions. Reporting isn't like it used to be.
